SWITCHING / QUESTION 16

The service ends, the record stays

A practical explanation to read before you act.

After a number transfer or cancellation, review the final statement. Check the ending date, any partial period and any device commitment that continues. Keep the provider’s written confirmation and reference.
LOOK CLOSER

What to establish first

If several services share an account, identify which have ended and which remain. Do not assume that stopping one mobile number also stops a tablet, broadband line or optional subscription.

THE NEXT STEP

Keep the distinction clear

Where a final item seems wrong, use the provider’s explanation and complaint process. Our role is to help you understand the categories and prepare questions; only the authorised provider can amend its account records.
