PLANS AND PAYMENT / QUESTION 07
Give a bill a second reading
A practical explanation to read before you act.
Begin with the period covered by the statement. Mark regular airtime, a separate device component, optional subscriptions and usage beyond the allowance. Then compare it with the summary issued when the service began or changed.
Start with the period and the item, then ask the question.LOOK CLOSER
What to establish first
For an unfamiliar item, note the description, date and usage category. Ask the provider for an explanation and retain its reference. Bank details and verification codes are not needed to discuss a general bill-reading question with us.
THE NEXT STEP
Keep the distinction clear
A disputed item, an affordability problem and a cancellation request require different conversations. Explain the actual problem to the provider and ask about its formal complaint or assistance route where relevant.
